Cunard Crown Jewel

Cunard Crown Jewel

The Cunard Crown Jewel entered service for Cunard in 1993 as part of a joint venture between Cunard Line and the Crown Cruise Line.

Cunard retained the ship on her regular schedule of cruises between the United States and Canada, as well as to the Caribbean.

The 1992 built ship remained in Cunard management until the mid-1990’s, when she was sold to Star Cruises and renamed Super Star Gemini.

Sailing for Star Cruises, the ship operated out of Singapore. An engine room fire in 1997 cast a shadow over the ship’s future, however she was repaired and returned to service.

Star Cruises sold the Super Star Gemini, and the ship left their fleet in December 2008, having been sold to the Quail group. However, following their bankruptcy, she is currently laid up and awaiting a future owner.
